InRento, a crowdfunding platform for buy-to-let projects, now in its fourth year of operation, reached a record amount of funding in October. A total of 921 clients invested EUR 3 million in real estate projects in Lithuania and Poland through the platform.

According to Gustas Germanavičius, the founder and CEO of InRento, client trust in the platform grows with every project. In October, the required funding for each project was raised in record time, on average, just one day.

"Since our inception, we have built a community of 25,000 investors. Together with our community, we have successfully financed 143 projects worth more than EUR 33 million. During this time, every project has been successfully implemented, and the average annual return on investment has exceeded 12%. The trust our clients place in us and their continued reinvestment in new projects is a tremendous reward and motivates us to keep moving forward," says G. Germanavičius.

During October, projects in both Lithuania and Poland were successfully funded.

"We are delighted to offer investors opportunities in Lithuania and abroad. In October, we began financing the conversion of a residential apartment building in Kalisz, Poland. InRento will provide EUR 2.45 million in financing through the end of 2024, with the remaining EUR 1.05 million provided to the developer in stages over the remaining loan period," G. Germanavičius explains.

G. Germanavičius further notes that expanding internationally allows investors to diversify their portfolios, helping to manage risk while maintaining relatively high returns. Currently, most of InRento’s investment portfolio is based in Lithuania. However, by 2025, it is expected that more projects will be financed abroad than domestically.

"Most of our projects outside Lithuania are planned in Poland. We have been successfully operating there since early 2023, gaining a strong understanding of the market and seeing significant growth opportunities. On the one hand, government incentives make it easier for Polish residents to purchase economy-class housing, creating strong demand. On the other hand,  traditional bank financing for developers in Poland is costly and slow, limiting the supply of projects. This dynamic enables us to finance highly liquid projects in Poland and offer a favourable risk-return ratio to our investors," says G. Germanavičius.

Recently, InRento was named Best Investment Technology at the 2024 European FinTech Awards in London, marking its second award after winning the title in 2022.

Investing involves the risk of losing some or all of the amount invested, so diversifying investments and investing responsibly is advised.
